        North America Music Festivals

Farm Aid 2008 - Bristow, VA - September
This is an annual benefit concert festival that raises money for America's struggling family farmers. Last years one day festival took place on September 27th at the Post-Gazette Pavilion near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania . As always, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews, founders of Farm Aid, performed as well as many other great artists including: Kid Rock, Lee Ann Womack, Gillian Welch, Keith Urban, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Anthony Smith, Los Lonely Boys, and Drive By Truckers.

Telluride Blues and Brews Festival - Telluride, CO - September
This year's annual event features: Little Feat, Gov't Mule, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Elvin Bishop, the Robert Cray Band, the Jeff Healey Band and many others.

On The Waterfront Fest - Rockford, IL - August & September
Last year's four day festival featured: Styx, Blues Traveler, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Alice Cooper, and others.

The Harley-Davison Summerfest - Milwaukee, WI - August
Rock out with Harley-Davidson and friends on four main stages at Milwaukee’s world famous Summerfest Grounds. This year this three day festival features: ZZ Top, Daughtry, The Black Crowes, Dierks Bentley, Peter Frampton, Los Lonely Boys, Blue Oyster Cult, War, Foghat, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Puddle of Mudd, Gary Allan, Buddy Guy, Blind Melon, Cameo, Dr. John, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band .

Hot August Nights - Reno, NV - August
Cruise into Reno this summer for their annual rock and roll and car show. Last year's oldies line-up features Chubby Checker, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, the Coasters, and the Drifters, and Herman's Hermits, while the "rock" line-up has B.B. King, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bad Company, Three Dog Night, the Beach Boys, and more.

The Reggae On The River Festival - Humboldt County, CA - Aug.
Internationally acclaimed as three days of "the best Reggae and World music experience to be found". An annual pilgrimage for thousands each year to reconnect spiritually with friends, groove to the superb musical offerings and relax in the beautiful natural environment of the concert site. Located in Northern California along the Eel River, at French's Camp in Piercy, California. Approximately 200 miles North of San Francisco, 75 miles South of Eureka..

Rockin’ the Rivers - Three Forks, MT - August
Montana's finest annual three day Classic Rockfest. Last year's stellar line-up included: REO Speedwagon, Big Brother & the Holding Company, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, and more.

Newport Folk Festival - Newport, RI - August
Not really Classic Rock, but perhaps the most famous festival of all. Now in its 42nd year. Last year's three day event featured: Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Bruce Cockburn, Shawn Colvin, and 34 other bands.

SummerStage 2008 - New York, NY - July and August
Central Park SummerStage is a free performing arts festival dedicated to bringing the best of concerts, dance, spoken word and opera free to the public. The 2008 season marks SummerStage's 23rd Anniversary. Rock highlights this year included: Randy Newman, Jeff Healey Band, Joan Jett and many others.

High Sierra Music Festival - Quincy, CA - July
The annual jamfest is held at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy, and last year featured: Dr. John, Los Lobos, the Jorma Kaukonen Trio and many others!

Common Ground Music Festival - Lansing, MI - July
A six day festival at the Adado Riverfront Park. Last year's event included: Foreigner and Journey, hard rock band Skid Row, country singer Phil Vassar, R & B group Earth, Wind & Fire, Motown's Robinson, and more.

Beloit Riverfest Festival - Beloit, WI - July
One of Wisconsin's largest annual music festivals. Last year's four day event included: Ted Nugent, Blue Oyster Cult and Grand Funk Railroad, and more.

Moondance Jam - Walker MN - July
Every year a crowd estimated at between 50,000-55,000 piles into the old Moondance Ranch to be a part of what has become a major four day event on the Minnesota music scene. This year was: It's a marvelous night for a moondance with Eric Burdon and the New Animals, Leon Russell, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, the Styx, the Doobie Brothers, Leslie West of Mountain, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Joe Walsh, the Yardbirds, the Knack, Paul Rodgers, the Beach Boys, Peter Frampton and others.

Chippewa Valley Rock Fest - Cadott, WI - July
A 320 acre facility is transformed into a small city during this four day music festival. With campgrounds that are located adjacent to the concert area itself, the festival attendee's can walk to the concert area and back to their campsite in between performances. No long walks and no shuttle busses required. The campgrounds also feature: hot showers, fresh water, garbage and recycling service, RV dumping station, etc. This year's all-star lineup featured: REO Speedwagon, Styx, Air Supply, Joe Walsh, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, 38 Special, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Sammy Hagar and the Waboritas, Billy Idol, David Clayton Thomas & Blood Sweat and Tears, War, Doobie Brothers, Poison and many others!

Montreal Jazzfest - Montreal, PQ Canada - July
An annual eleven day "Jazz" fest that this year included: Sting, Rickie Lee Jones, Patti Smith and many many others.

Comstock Rock Festival - Comstock, NE - July
Party for three days at the 2nd Wind Ranch With Foreigner, Molly Hatchet ,CCR, Foreigner Lead Singer Lou Gramm, John Kay & Steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Grand Funk Railroad, Little River Band, and more to be announced.

Summerfest - Milwaukee, WI - June and July
This 11-day party of fun in the sun provides the best in regional and national entertainment on 12 different stages and draws over 900,000 visitors every year. Last year's rock and roll line-up included: Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, the Allman Brothers Band, Weird Al Yankovic, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, John Hiatt, Don Henley, the Styx, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick and Peter Frampton.

Monterey Bay Blues Festival - Monterey, CA - June
An annual blues, brews, and party by the ocean. This year's three day event includes: James "Blood" Ulmer, Teeny Tucker, James Cotton, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, and more.

Riverband Festival - Chattanooga, TN - June
This annual nine day event includes world class entertainment, street performers, and an evening finale night of the Festival featuring a musically synchronized fireworks display. Featuring over 100 artists, this widely acclaimed event draws nearly 400,000 visitors from all over the Southeast. Last year they rocked with War, Jethro Tull, Chicago, the Grass Roots, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, Alabama, Morris Day and the Time and many others!

Burlington Steamboat Days - Burlington, IA - June
The American Music Festival - National rock, country, pop, rhythm and blues, jazz, and oldies groups perform daily on outdoor stages. A five day regional event that attracts more than 100,000 visitors annually. This year's bill included: Foreigner, America, Kansas, Clearwater Revisited and Peter Frampton, among others.

Live Oak Music Festival - Santa Barbara, CA - June
The Live Oak Music Festival is a three day concert and camping event held every year on Father's Day weekend in the hills above Santa Barbara, California. 100% of Live Oak proceeds go to support KCBX Public Radio. There were 20 acts on the main stage this year including: Los Lobos, Ritchie Havens and many more.

Gathering of the Vibes - Bridgeport, CT - June
The best of Rock, Jazz, Funk and Blues all rolled into one! This three-day festival will presented: Ratdog featuring Bob Weir, moe., David Grisman and many others.

Springfest - Pensacola, FL - April
Pensacola's annual music celebration, last year featured Kansas, Jethro Tull, Steve Earle, Bonnie Raitt, John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band, and many more.

International Music Festivals

Smukkeste 2000 - Skanderborg, Denmark - August
An annual four day festival that last year included: Deep Purple, UB40, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Tina Turner, Kool & the Gang, and more.

Open Air St. Gallen - St.Gallen, Switzerland - July
Annual three day day music fest that last year Featured: Huey Lewis and the News, the Counting Crows, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers.

Montreux Jazz Festival - Montreux, Switzerland - July
Possibly one of the most famous yearly fifteen day music festivals. Last year's offering included: RatDog feat. Bob Weir and Rob Wassermann, B.B. King, Paul Simon, Marianne Faithfull, Dr John, David Bowie, Joe Cocker, and more

T in the Park - Balado, by Kinross, Scotland - July
The Line-up in this annual two day festival included: Iggy Pop, Bootleg Beatles and many others.

Cambridge Folk Festival - Cambridge, UK - July
This year's annual four day festival featured: Joan Baez, Dr. John and many others.

Guildford Festival - Stoke Park, Guildford UK - July
A great line-up in this three day annual fest included: Van Morrison, Lonnie Donegan, Motorhead, Culture Club and Priory of Brian (Robert Plant's band).

Roskilde Festival - Roskilde, Denmark - June & July
This annual music festival Boasted 160 artists on seven stages, and included: Lou Reed, Iron Maiden, the Cure, Pet Shop Boys, Willie Nelson and many many others.

Lakeside Blues Festival - Järvenpää, Finland - June & July
This year's annual four day offering included: B.B. King, the Priory of Brian featuring Robert Plant and others.

Sweden Rock Festival - Solvesborg, Blekinge, Sweden - June
Last year's three day festival included: Ted Nugent, Halford, Status Quo, Motörhead, John Kay & Steppenwolf, Manfred Manns Earth Band, plus an assortment of many other hard rock/metal bands.

Glastonbury Festival or -2- Glastonbury, UK - June
A three day annual contemporary music festival. The 20 stages last year featured: David Bowie, Santana, Paul McCartney, Eurythmics, Blondie and a whole slew of others.

Rock am Ring - Altenau, Nürburgring Germany - June
A three day annual music festival that this year featured: Santana, Sting, Eurythmics, Live, Pearl Jam and others.

Rock & Harley Imst - Imst, Austria - May
Last year's annual three day Harley rally featured: the Rolling Stones and Bryan Adams.
